Knotweed
Considered one of the world’s worst plant invaders, bamboo-like, highly aggressive knotweeds are large, hollow stemmed shrubs that form large stands that destroy habitat and impact infrastructure.
Invasive Ants
BC is dealing with outbreaks of invasive ants causing economic, health, recreation and other impacts. The European Fire Ant is an example: a small red ant (visible with a magnifying glass) that swarms and stings.
